Description

Paperback. Colour illustrated catalogue of almost thirty works by John Piper which were painted from Renishaw Hall, Derbyshire, the family seat of the Sitwells. Five colour plates of Piper’s work plus two further colour illustrations to front and back of catalogue. colour photo of Osbert Sitwelll. Also includes and essay by Philip Ziegler on Osbert Sitwell as art curator and collector. The exhibition was mounted under the eye of Osbert Sitwell’s nephew, the then owner Reresby Sitwell. Landscape format: 210 by 145mm (8¼ by 5¾ inches). Also included a tri-fold leaflet about Renishaw Hall.
