Notes	Two of the volumes are ex-library with a small mark from a label to the dust jacket. there don’t seem to be any further marks. Two Victorian Girls is not exlibrary. all are first editions. All are clean though the dust jackets show some slight dust and handling marks and a little edge wear.

Description

Hardback. Three volumes by and about the Victorian sisters Emily and Ellen hall. the first voluem is a biogrpahical narration with extracts from their diaries, written by their great nephew Owen Sherrard and with diary extracts added by A. R. Mills. The second and their volumes are mainly diary extracts. The all sisters from a family with connections to the Channel Islands lived in the Queen Anne mansion Ravenswood in West Wickham. Their mother Augusta Browning was a distant connection of the poet. The two sisters kept diaries almost from the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign and through decades ahead providing a first hand account of the period from the perspective of two middle class spinsters.
