Hardback. Full leather binding to this early nineteenth century edition of the satirical poem of the English Civil War. Illustrated title page with engraved vignette and further engravings to the start of each of the nine parts and to The Lady’s Answer to the Knight. 135 by 80mm (5¼ by 3¼ inches). Black label and gilt titles to spine an gilt decorative trailing leaf motif with gilt borders also to spine. Blind impressed decorative border and gilt ruled outer border to both boards. Marbled papers. Marbled to stop edge. Gilt dentelles.
