Notes The letter is clean and crisp and the signature clear. However, it looks like a small piece of tape has lifted a few letters from the typed sentence and from the word Halifax in Bentley’s phone number on the paper header. Neither small patch of loss obscures meaning and the hand written parts are unaffected.

Short, typed letter from author Phyllis Bentley on her headed paper with her Halifax address on it. Dated 3rd February 1977 and responding to a request for an autograph. Bentley has signed in blue pen and has made a small correction by hand to the letter.
