Notes Some loss to head of spine and the adjacent area of board is worn. Rather dust and finger marked to boards occasionally to the text. Illustrations are bright though sometimes with finger marks to white margins. Some external foxing. Binding is sound.

Hardback. First edition. Unpaginated [28pp], a handwritten-style calligraphic text. Colour illustrated papers to boards and colour illustrations throughout including 8 full page. The closely written text (it is only 28 pages but it is quite a substantial story) also features one or two integral colour pictures to each page. Illustrations to endpapers. Navy cloth spine. Hard to find as a first edition and an unusually attractive production for war time.
