Notes Ffeps have been torn from both volumes which has cause the inner joint to split on volume XXV and volume XXV is also torn to cloth cloth at head of spine. Some foxing to prelims. cloth is clean and the gilt is bright. Some minor surface scuffs. Bindings are sound.

Hardback. 2 volumes. Illustrated Victorian periodical edited by the novelist Ellen Wood better known as Mrs Henry Wood (1814-1887). Bounded in decorated green cloth with Greek key border to front board in gilt and black and decorative gilt titles to front and gilt titles to spine. Bevelled boards. Illustrated by M. Ellen Edwards. Mainly fiction but includes a long piece on Orkney and Shetland, by Charles Wood who went on to be the editor after his mother’s death.
