Hardback. 123pp. Third impression. Edited with memoir and notes by Michael Meyer. Sidney Keyes published two collections of poetry in his short life before being killed in action in Tunsia in 1943 aged just 20. An interesting war poet, he was awarded the Hathornden Prize for his work collected here. Fontis photographic portrait of Keyes in army uniform and a facsimile manuscript illustration. As well as war other writers were often the subject of his work and there are poems on Wordsworth, Woolf and Yeats, etc.
