Description
Harrdback. xvi,186pp. Compiled by poet Geoffrey Grigson with introduction and notes on the writers. Beginning with a quote from a letter from Samuel Taylor Coleridge to Sara Hutchinson in 1802, “I have often thought of writing a Set of Play-bills for the vale of Keswick for every day in the Year announcing each Day the Performances by his Supreme Majesty's Servants, Clouds, Waters, Sun, Moon, Stars, etc” this volume goes on to have two or three quotes for each day of the year. Twelve illustrations taken from the work of John constable finish this chronological commonplace book.
