Hardback. First edition. Also included are a hand-written post card signed B on personalised stationery, sent by Willard; the orders of service for both Barbara Willard's private cremation and the public memorial service; a hand written letter from Willard’s publisher; and numerous obituaries from both national and local press. Barbara Willard was best known for her historical fiction for children but last book was on Ashdown Forest of which she was a representative of the forest Commoners. Foreword is provided by Christopher Robin Milne whose home, represented by the Hundred Acre Wood in the Winnie-the Pooh stories, was not far from Ashdown forest. Map to endpapers. Two small selections of colour plates.
