Description
Hardback. The city of Edinburgh illustrated: 1984 reprint of 1910 original by T. N. Foulis. Jessie M. King was a prolific Scottish illustrator in the Art Nouveau style and was associated with the Glasgow School / Glasgow Girls of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret and Frances MacDonald, etc. 24 drawings of Edinburgh’s older architectural gems, each with a caption on the opposite page, also an illustrated title page and illustrated contents page, all in black and white. Colour illustrated, dust jacket, as published, is part glued over basic plain boards. Foreword by Anne Barren Skipwith.
