Notes Books has gift note contemporary with publication and the recipient’s ex libris label.Book has a very few minor marks to closed page edges (lower edge) but is otherwise very clean, bright and neat. Slipcase is sound but slightly faded to edges of paper sides and somewhat scuffed to leather.

Hardback. Frst edition thus. Written during Celini’s later life between the years 1558 and 1563. 351pp.+ 17 pages of illustrations of Cellini’s work, at the rear of the book. Translated and with an introduction by George Bull. Maroon cloth decorated in gilt to both front and spine and with gilt titles to spine. Light brown elephant-hide style slip case with leather trim.
