Paperback. 43pp. No. 100 in the Writers & Their Work series. For the hundredth edition poet Edmund Blunden writes about Rupert Brooke, Siegfried Sassoon, Charles Sorley, Wilfred Owen. Blunden was himself a war poet, having served at Ypres, the Somme and the Battle of Passchendaele and having been awarded the Military Cross. Small selection of black and white portraits. This was the first volume in the series to be published in the distinctive matt yellow card cover with red and black typefaces. Edmund Blunden had been the subject of an ealier volume in series.
